FSBO's Decision to Sell

In addition to the information under Seller's Decision to Sell, below you will find some more suggestions specifically for FSBOs.

Remember, when you sell your house yourself, you'll be doing your own marketing, open houses and contract negotiations. Take some time to review the Marketing Plan for ideas. Determine ahead of time who will write your contract. Get recommendations for good real estate attorneys. Consider if a buyer makes an offer, and has signed a buyer-broker agreement, if you are willing to pay their agent 3% to write the contract and see it through settlement. Please note that the buyer's agent will be working for the buyer, not you, so it is a good idea for you to have someone review the contract in your behalf. IF you have the time to spend selling your home, and IF you have the energy to see it thorough, For-Sale-By-Owner can be a good solution. Before I became licensed, I completed 2 sales and a purchase "By Owner". It's a lot of work and a lot of reward, please feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
